I have a bunch of computers into pieces that didn’t work anymore. I reuse these pieces to fix mine when something fails.
The truth is, I have more training in digital systems than in analog ones. Even though I learned analog electronics by myself, my specific studies in Telecommunications were more about programming, microprocessors, application-specific integrated circuits, programmable systems and electromagnetic and digital waves.
I designed some digital apps by myself, such as the smart ring, in which I worked a whole year full-time in the standard MIDI. But I also created some small plugins, virtual synths, digital tools for musical or even home automation projects, working with different programming languages.
First plugin I programmed from scratch, was a distortion and saturation effect. The smart ring was also made just with code. All of this takes a lot of time, and since I’m not a programmer, I started to use Reaktor and Live to design some tools and VST. I found a picture of the first digital synth I designed with Reaktor and another one of the software for designing the graphics of the distortion’s knobs.
